On the Glass Seats

On the Glass Seats for the Minnesota Wild are the premier seat location. Not only are you right against the boards, but your tickets also includes food and drink (including beer and wine!) and access to the most luxurious lounge in the the arena, the Treasure Island Ice Lodge.

Benches and Scoring Zone

The Minnesota Wild bench is lcoated in front of section 117, and the visitors bench is located in front of section 1116. The Minnesota Wild shoot twice at the net in front of section 110, and the penatly box at Excel Energy Center is located between sections 103-104.

Seat Numbers

The Excel Energy Center follows the standard sports arena pattern in that the lowest seat number in a given section will be closest to the adjacent lower section. The same rule applies for the 100s and 200s sections. For example, seat 1 in Section 104 would be closest to the highest seat number in section 103 (seat 20), or the highest seat number in Section 104 (seat 20) would be closest to seat number 1 in section 105. The lower level sections typically have between 18 and 20 seats, and between 19 and 21 seats in the upper level sideline sections. The corner sections in both levels have seat numbers that vary depending on the width of the section.

Club Seats

The Minnesota Wild Club seats are located just above the 100 level section, and are comprised of sections C1-C40. Fans with club level tickets enjoy great sight lines for wild games, and are granted access to all the lounges on the club level. No food or beverage comes with Club Seats at Excel Energy Center.

Overview

The Excel Energy Center (aka The X) is located at 199 Kellogg Boulevard West in Saint Paul Minnesota. It opened it’s doors in 2000, and is home to the NHL's Minnesota Wild. In the concourse of the arena, you can find every Minnesota high school hockey jersey hanging on the wall, reflecting the "State of Hockey". The Excel Energy Center has a capacity of 17,954 for Wild games, and a capicity between 12,999 (end stage) and 20,554 (center stage) for concerts.

Best Seats

The best seats for any hockey game are more debatable than other sporting event, but the On the Glass seats are the clear Best Seats for a Minnesota Wild game. At the end of the day it is all up to personal preferrence, but generally speaking if you cannot score front row tickets on the glass in one of the scoring zones, you want to sit above row 10 in the lower level so you can see the plays develop. The Club seats described above, in sections C9 or C23 are a great option for any Wild fan. However some fans prefer to sit behind the net for Wild games, while other Wild fans prefer to sit in the corners so they can watch the puck cross the goal line.
