Lawn Seating at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion

The lawn at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion provides a great view of the stage with plenty of room, seating up to 9,000. Located right behind the reserve seating, the lawn is a general admission section, where many like to see their favorite artist or band for an affordable price. Its recommended to arrive early when sitting in the lawn, as it can fill up quick depending on the event.

History and Overview

Located just outside of Houston,Texas in The Woodlands, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion opened in the spring of 1990. Since opening, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion has been one of the most attended amphitheatres in the country, with a capacity of over 16,000 people. The venue has seen a few renovations over the years, most to add seating, while one renovation was due to damage from Hurricane Ike in 2008. Today the Cynthia Woods Mitchel Pavilion has just over 6,000 covered reserve seats and holds another 9,000 on the lawn.
