Best Seats

The best seats at Notre Dame Stadium are located in the sections closest to midfield, sections 9-10 and 27-28. When sitting in these sections it is wise to consider tickets in rows 11 and up, as the height of these rows will give you the necessary height to see the plays develop all over the field.

Seat Numbers

The seat numbers at Notre Dame Stadium follow a very simple pattern. Seat number 1 will always be closest to lower numbered section adjacent to it. For example seat 1 in section 9 will be closest to section 8, and the highest seat number in section 9 will be closest to section 10. It is also important to note that the aisle runs through to middle of each section.

Preferred Seating

Notre Dame Stadiums preferred seating area includes seats with chair backs, and are located in front of sections 8-11 and 26-29. These seats are incredibly difficult to find on the secondary market, and when found are sold at a premium.

Tailgating

There are several parking lots to choose from at Notre Dame Stadium, and parking pass can be purchased on the secondary market. When planning your tailgate, remember that charcoal grills and kegs are not permitted on the University of Notre Dame campus.

Notre Dame Bench

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish bench is located in front of sections 26-29 and the visitors bench is located in front of sections 8-11.

History and Overview

Notre Dame Stadium open back in 1930 on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, with an original capacity of 60,000. In 1997 Notre Dame Stadium was renovated and nearly 21,000 seats were added putting today's capacity at 80,795. Notre Dame Stadium is bleacher seating throughout the stadium, expect for the preferred seating rows in the sections closest to midfield. Notre Dame Stadium is know for its view of "Touchdown Jesus" a nickname given to the large mural entitled "The Word of Life" located in one of the end zones.

Student Sections

The student sections at Notre Dame Stadium are located in section 28-36. Student section tickets cannot be purchased on the secondary market, as students are given booklets for all home games that are transferable.

Notre Dame Stadium Ticket Policy

Sellers must disclose all information that is listed on their tickets. For example, obstructed view seats at Notre Dame Stadium would be listed for the buyer to consider (or review) prior to purchase. These notes include information regarding if the Notre Dame Stadium seat view is a limited view, side view, obstructed view or anything else pertinent.
