History and Overview

Located in Columbia, MD between Baltimore and Washington D.C., the Merriweather Post Pavilion has become one of the signature outdoor concert venues in the country. Opening in 1967, the Merriweather Post Pavilion has received national honors over the years from Billboard and Rolling Stone Magazine to name a few. With the combination of reserve and lawn seating, the Merriweather Post Pavilion holds over 19,000 for events. Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and The Who are a few that have played at the Merriweather Post Pavilion over the years.

Merriweather Post Pavilion Seat Numbers

The seating chart at Merriweather Post Pavilion is set up differently depending on the section you are in. If you are in either of the loge sections, seat number "1" is towards the center when facing the stage. In the center section (CTR), seat number "1" is on the left when facing the stage. In section left center (LC), seating follows an odd number pattern (1, 3, 5, 7, ect), with seat number "1" on the right when facing the stage. In section right center (RC), seating follows an even number pattern (2, 4, 6, 8, ect.), with seat number "2" starting on the left when facing the stage.
