Overview and History

Kauffman Stadium, also known as the "K" is located at One Royal Way in Kansas City, Missouri and is a part of the Truman Sports Complex, which includes Arrowhead Stadium (home of the Kansas City Chiefs). Kauffman Stadium has been the home of Kansas City Royals since 1973. It underwent renovations from 2007-2009, and currently has a seating capacity of 37,903 for Royals games.

Best Seats

The Best Seats for a Kansas City Royals game are located in the sections behind home plate, which include the Diamond Club and BATS Club. Field Level seats in the infield (sections 118-137) are great options as well, and if the Royals struggled again this season tickets should be had for cheap. Finally, the 200 level seats along the baselines will give you a bit more height to see the entire field, and seats above row G will keep you covered in the event that there is inclement weather.

Seats in Shade

If you are looking for seats in the shade for Kansas City Royals day game at Kauffman Stadium, you should purchase tickets along the first base side. If you can't score tickets along the first base line, you should look at tickets in the 200 level above row G, which will be covered by the level above. These are great seats if the game you attending is expected to have rain.

Dugouts and Bullpens

The Kansas City Royals dugout is located in front of sections 132-136 and the visitors dugout is located in front of sections 119-123. The Royals bullpen is located in front of sections 150-152, and the visitors bullpen is in front of sections 104-106.

Seat Numbers

Kauffman Stadium follows the standard venue seat number logic, in that seat number 1 will always be closest to the lower number section adjacent to it. For example, seat number 1 in section 120 will be closest to the highest seat number in section 119, and the highest seat number in section 120 will be adjacent to seat number 1 in section 121.

Premium Seating

When it comes to premium seating, the Kansas City Royals have a few options available. The seats directly behind home plate, in sections 1-6 are known as the BATS Club, which includes food and drink wait service, as well as access to the All-Inclusive Crown Club Lounge. The Diamond Club Seats, located in sections A-F offer a great views, wider and more comfortable seats, and in seat wait service (food not included). Access to a private bar is included with these seats as well.

Field Dimensions

Kauffman Stadium's field dimensions are as follows (all measurements from home plate): 330ft to Left-Field, 387ft to Left-Center, 410ft to Center, 387ft to Right-Center, 330ft to Right-Field. It is 60ft from home plate to the backstop.
