Seat Numbers

Rangers Ballpark seating numbers progress from Seat 1 being closest to the lower adjacent section, to Seat 18 being in the aisle next to the higher section. For instance, Section 31, Row 1, Seat 1 is the aisle seat which is closest to Section 30. Section 30, Row 1, Seat 18 is the aisle seat closest to Section 31.

Food Options

This season at Texas Rangers Stadium the concessions are offering big, "Texas-sized" options at new vendors such as Texas Sized 24. Here, you can order the "Beltre Buster", a one-pound burger topped with half a pound of bacon, grilled onions, and cheese on a pretzel bun. Other favorite vendors located in Ranger Stadium are Fry Depot, Food Network Signature Sandwiches, and Home Plate Butcher Block. You can find your All-American stadium fare at Ballpark Favorites, located in Sections 3, 9, 15, and 33 of the stadium.

Field Dimensions

The field dimensions of Rangers Ballpark are as follows (all measurements from home plate): 332ft to Left-Field, 390ft to Left-Center, 404ft Deep Left-Center, 400ft to Center, 407ft Deep Right-Center, 377ft to Right-Center, and 325ft to Right-Field. It is 60ft from home plate to the backstop. Rangers Ballpark is notoriously a hitter friendly park, with the heat of Texas, strong winds, and relatively short fences.

Dugouts and Bullpens

The Texas Rangers dugout is located in front of sections 32-34, and the visitors dugout is located in front of sections 18-20. The visitors bullpen is located in left field between sections 3 and 54, and the Texas Rangers Bullpen is located in front of section 49.

Directions and Parking

Rangers Ballpark is located at 1000 Ballpark Way in Arlington TX, at the corner of Randol Mill Rd. and Ballpark Way. The ballpark is most accessible from Interstate 30. Aside from the baseball crowd, Interstate 30 typically heavy with traffic. In order to arrive at Rangers Stadium with plenty of time to park, account for at least an hours worth of traffic, as accidents and jams are prone to happen. Parking ranges from $20-30 in various lots around the ballpark.

Premium Seating

The Texas Rangers have a few premium seating options available on the secondary ticket market. In the first two rows of sections 16-18 and 33-36 are called the Commissioners Box Seats, which include a buffet. The first four rows behind home plate in sections 21-31 also include buffet access, but are also pricey and in many cases hard to find. A much more affordable all-inclusive option are the all you can eat seats, located in sections 246-252. These seats include the standard ballpark food, and if you sit above row 17 you can enjoy the shade on those hot Texas summer days.

Family Fun

If you are bringing out the whole family to a Texas Rangers game, you may want to consider sitting in the alcohol free section 335. Also the Kids Zone, located on the first floor of the office building left-center field behind Vandergriff Plaza features video games, kids concessions, jungle gym, craft making, and much more. Plus for parents the area is fully air conditioned.

Best Seats

The best seats for a Texas Rangers game are in the previously mentioned Commissioner Box seats or the Home Plate VIP seats. That being said those seats can be very difficult to obtain, so any seats on the field level behind home plate and around the infield are a great option. Seats to Avoid

Although seats in the first row are typically most desired, the first row seats in most of the 200s and 300s sections have bars that obstruct your view, yet they are not listed as obstructed or partial view seats. Section 112 to 139 are at the back of the lower deck and are covered by the upper deck. Although it's good if it's raining, these seats give a claustrophobic feeling, you'll miss fly balls and the scoreboard is generally hard to see. Lastly, section 335 does not allow alcohol, just saying.

Seats in Shade

The summers in Texas can be very hot, so it is important to know where to sit to avoid the sun at Texas Rangers games. It would be wise to look for seats on along the first base side in this case, as the majority of the third baseline seats remain in the sun for the entirety of games. Also, if you don't mind sitting way up high, the 300 level sections offer shade in seats above row 17. If you are afraid of heights these seats are not for you though, as the upper deck is quite steep.

History and Overview

Rangers Ballpark, now known as Globe Life Park in Arlington, was built in 1994 and is home to the Texas Rangers. The ballpark includes "Greene's Hill", a sloped section of turf behind the center field wall that serves as the batter's eye, although this section was originally designed as a picnic area for fans. Rangers Ballpark has a capacity of 48,114 for Rangers games, with a record attendance of 52,419.
