Lower Level Seating

When deciding which Georgia Dome seats you are going to buy, it's common that most people look to get as close to the 50 yard line as possible. However, you need to pay up for these seats. First, if you are going to pay up, make sure to sit in between rows 15 and 30, that's the ideal row number to optimize the seat height and sight lines. To have a great time at the Georgia Dome though you can find bargains when looking to buy tickets in the lower level corner sections such as 101 to 103. These seats will get you close to the field at a fraction of the cost, and at least for half of the game you'll have a great seat.

The Best Seats at the Georgia Dome

The best seats at the Georgia Dome are located in sections 115-116 and 135-136 above row 10. These sections are positioned right at midfield, and sitting about row 10 will give you optimal sight-lines for watching the action from anywhere on the field. The Club Level seats in the same position (sections 247-248 and 221-222) are also an excellent option.

History and Overview

The Georgia Dome is located at 1 Georgia Dome drive in Atlanta, Georgia, and is home the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. The Georgia Dome opened in 1992 and at the time was the large domed structure in the world, but it has since been surpassed by the Millennium Dome in London and Docklands Stadium in Melbourne. In addition to NFL football, the Georgia Dome is also the annual host of the SEC Championship game, and has hosted NCAA Men's final fours in 202,2007, and 2013. The Georgia Dome has a capacity of 74,228 for football, and 71,800 for basketball, with a maximum capacity of 80,000.

Seat Numbers

The Georgia Dome seating configuration is easy to understand when it comes to the seat numbers, seat 1 is always closer to the adjacent section with the higher section number. For example seat 1 in section 115 is on the aisle next to section 116 and the highest seat number in section 115, seat 21 is on the aisle next to section 114. In the 100s each row has between 19 and 22 seats. Rows 1 - 7 have 19 seats, rows 8 to 19 have 20 seats, rows 20 to 30 have 21 seats and rows 31 to 34 have 22 seats per a row in the GA Dome.

Club Seating

The Club level at the Georgia Dome is located in the 200 level, which offers wider seats than those in the other levels of the Georgia Dome. Other club amenities include access to upscale concessions and lounges with NFL Sunday Ticket. Certain listing will also include a VIP parking pass, so be sure to check the seller notes before purchasing any Georgia Dome Club Seats.

Falcons Bench

The Atlanta Falcons Bench is in front of section 113 to 118, while the visitors bench is in front of 133 to 138.

Tailgating

Tailgating at the Georgia Dome is permitted before events in all Dome flat parking lots, and is specifically prohibited in the campus multi-level garages. The Yellow Lot is known for large tailgates, and holds nearly 1,300 vehicles. If you are hosting a single car tailgate, "The Gulch" or Lot A is the place for you. The Gulch normally has some type event put on by the Falcons, and radio and television crews frequent this area as well. For any lot, vehicles may take up only one parking space, and tailgating equipment may not extend beyond the parking space, or impede vehicles driving through the lot.
